Our Identity

THE SCHOOL’S MOTTO
Our motto on the school crest is a Latin saying, Domine dirige nos: Lord direct us.
The founders of St Hilda’s have ensured that we remain conscious of the faith that led them to establish a place of education for young women. It was their belief that God would guide and lead the School in the right direction.
Today we can be pleased with the direction the School has taken and the many continuing successes we enjoy, and we reflect on our religious roots in chapel services throughout the year and in Religious and Philosophical Studies. Our Chaplain is involved with the school on a daily basis and encourages us to approach religious ideas with an open, enquiring mind. Through thought, investigation and reflection, students are able to make informed decisions about personal faith and ethical behaviour.
Vision and Purpose
To spark extraordinary futures by inspiring inventive and adaptive thinkers with a curiosity for learning.
Our Values
Our values aren’t just a list of nice words. They are qualities that you will find throughout the School in all interactions. Our staff lead by example and instil these values in our students.
Excellence // We encourage the pursuit of our personal best and lifting others.
Authenticity // We value who we are and respect others knowing that self-belief is our greatest attribute.
Belonging // We nurture relationships, the St Hilda’s spirit and the part we play in the global community.
Imagination // We are courageous and open our minds to possibilities.
These values are woven into our behaviours, our recognition programs and our leadership opportunities.
