Parents' and Friends' Association

Every St Hilda’s parent is a member of the Parents' and Friends' Association, whose aim is to involve parents in social functions for friendship, fun and fundraising. A Committee is elected at an Extraordinary General Meeting in November each year.

President: Nivirithi Naidoo

Nivirithi’s daughters will be in Year 7 and Year 12 in 2020. Nivirithi has been class representative for Year 10 (2018), Year 6 and 11 (2019) as well as Vice president of the Junior School P&F. These opportunities have allowed her to work very closely with the parents, teachers and students of St Hildas and build stronger relationships with the wider community when hosting events. Niv has also learnt a lot from being part of a very strong and striving P&F committee, that has promoted integration, community awareness and fundraising events, to form a larger and wider community network.

Vice President (Junior School): Sivabalan Vasudavan

Siva has a daughter Stella Year 1 in 2020, and another daughter will be commencing in Junior Kindergarten. Siva has previously served in the role as Secretary on the P&F, and is excited to continue his involvement within the St Hilda’s blossoming community.

Vice President (Senior School): Katya Lakshmi Narayan

Katya has two daughters in Year 7 and 9.  She has been a class parent representative four times. She loves the school and would love to dedicate and commit more of her time, skills and knowledge to St Hilda’s through the P&F

Treasurer: En Khong

En Khong is a Chartered Accountant with two daughters in the Junior School. Hannah, an aspiring STEAM-gineer, is in Year 3 in 2020 and Hope, a budding Minkey player, is in Year 1 2020. His vision for the P&F is to help working parents better engage with the school and to build a community to support parents in guiding their girls through their formative years in school. The girls build lifelong relationships throughout their journey here at St Hilda’s and En would love to provide the same opportunity for the parents to do the same.

Secretary: Faye Christison

Faye has served on the P&F since 2018 and has a daughter in Year 12 in 2020. Faye’s daughters also spent some of their time at St Hilda’s as boarders.

All parents are encouraged to attend Committee meetings as well as P&F parent mixers and other parent support group meetings. All meeting dates are listed in the weekly newsletters and the School web calendar. Our parent volunteer network contributes their time each year mostly organised through the P&F Association and other support groups. This is a valuable resource and reflects the strong and sustained sense of community at St Hilda's.
