Immunisation Information
To comply with regulations we must have an immunisation statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) on record for all students at the school. This will be requested from all new families prior to commencement. AIR statements can be accessed through mygov, the Medicare Express Plus app, or by visiting a Medicare or Centrelink office.
Families relocating from overseas can have their local immunisation translated onto the AIR by a GP or via the Central Immunisation Clinic. Translations can sometimes take time, so we recommend that you start this process as soon as possible.
Important – AIR statements for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students must show they are either: up-to-date, exempt or on an active catch-up schedule. Students in non-compulsory schooling are not eligible for commencement until a compliant AIR statement has been provided.
Primo Strings Program
Pre Primary to Year 4
St Hilda’s has a vibrant and diverse music program that provides significant benefits for students. These include developing the skills of persistence, teamwork, and belonging. All while developing a lifelong love of music.
St Hilda’s Primo String Program provides beginner String Students (Pre Primary to Year 4) with the opportunity to learn the violin, viola, cello or double bass. Each student will be provided with one year of individual, one-on-one lessons, plus instrument hire, for a total cost $400. This represents a saving of approximately 75% of the regular fees. This fee is payable at the start of the year and is nonrefundable if a student withdraws from the program.
Students will be assigned a lesson time on a rotational timetable to ensure they do not miss the same classroom lesson each week. Parents will be required to purchase a few basics such as a method book, and music stand. Participation in the Primo String Program will give students an opportunity to experience learning a string instrument, without a substantial financial outlay.
The Primo String Program is not compulsory, instead, we will take applications from interested parents. There is a limit of 30 places to ensure each child receives the individual attention they need.
