Extended Boarding Opportunities
Friday 3 May
Dear St Hilda’s Community,
During Term 1 we reviewed a number of ways in which we can assist our families who may require additional after school options for their daughters.
We considered our community's needs through many different lenses taking into consideration the diversity of family arrangements which make up our St Hilda’s community including working parents, single parents, boarding parents and guardianships.
We recognise that many of the commitments that our girls (and parents) are juggling throughout a typical school week, with work, school and co-curricular commitments can make evening routines challenging. Long commute times and parents' travel commitments can also be challenging in peak times.
With this in mind, we have reviewed our offerings and are delighted to announce a new program in conjunction with our Boarding House called St Hilda's Plus. St Hilda's Plus allows our day girls the opportunity to develop closer relationships with our Boarding students, engaging with them for afternoon tea, dinner, study time and nightly/weekly stay options to assist our busy St Hilda’s families and provide routine and balance for our girls.
