Keep the spirit alive
Tuesday 31 March
Community spirit is the making of a school, and with all schools in the state moving to online learning in the coming weeks, we have come up with a novel idea to keep our community connected – St Hilda’s TV.
Our Principal, Fiona Johnston said, “I am so excited to launch St Hilda’s TV, it provides a platform for our community to remain engaged during these unprecedented times. We know our School is so much more than just our buildings and grounds, it’s about relationships and rapport and St Hilda’s TV enables us to connect, share stories and the incredible journey of St Hilda’s through a different forum with each other.”
Produced in-house, St Hilda’s TV will host a number of segments including; positive messages from a range of staff and students, skits, virtual PE lessons, a forum for celebrating birthdays and a range of online competitions including lip-syncing, crazy hair days and dress up your pet, with a few bad dad jokes thrown in for good measure.
St Hilda’s TV is available to all students, staff and parents through the School online learning management system and daily episodes will be broadcast at the beginning of each morning prior to the online classes commencing to ensure the St Hilda’s spirit is kept alive.
