St Hilda’s Swim School
About
At St Hilda’s Swim School we believe that aquatic safety and learning to swim is a vital life skill that all Western Australian children need.
The St Hilda’s Learn to Swim program focuses heavily on teaching the fundamental movement skills from the beginner stages enabling participants to refine their technique and develop their endurance as they advance through the program. Our previously endorsed Learn to Swim – Royal Life Saving Curriculum has been replaced with a unique performance enhancement program which places a greater emphasis on the technical requirements individual students need to master before moving on to the next level.
At St Hilda’s we pride ourselves on the fact that once a child graduates from the Learn to Swim Program, they can continue to swim in the St Hilda’s Swim Club Starter Squad and then Junior Squad, which offers children a pathway to competing at a National level, and being coached by a team of elite development coaches. The unique Learn to Swim program has been designed to ensure swimmers have developed the basic stroke requirements to transition smoothly into the junior development pathways should they choose to swim for leisure or represent the St Hilda’s Swim Club in the future.
