Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre

This magnificent 900-seat Performing Arts Centre officially opened on 14 June 2012. Two weeks later, the opening School production ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was performed in a packed house. It is an iconic building in the heart of our Bay View campus and serves as a hub and focus for a number of school functions and events. Outside of these times, the Performing Arts Centre is available for hire.

In July 2015 it was officially named the Joy Shepherd Performing Arts Centre, in recognition of former Principal Mrs Joy Shepherd’s contribution to the Arts at St Hilda’s. The Forrest Foyer is a magnificent entry to the PAC and also a wonderful function place in its own right. It can accommodate 200 people at a standing function and was named in recognition of a generous gift to the Performing Arts Centre by the Forrest family.

There is a full control room, orchestra pit, dressing room facilities, kitchen/catering facilities, lifts and disabled/parent facilities.
