The information/courses listed below are provided in good faith for St Hilda’s parents. They are not organised by the School nor do they form part of the School’s curriculum. Parents should make their own enquiries about the suitability of these activities for their child.

UWA Softball and Baseball Club 

UWA is holding its Junior Softball Rego Day for the summer season on Sunday 10 September. UWA Baseball and Softball Club has been fielding teams for 70 years. The club is committed to junior development and this season is looking to field 2 to 3 junior teams! The teams are mostly made of girls from local schools. We already have a number of St Hilda's girls in our ranks but it would be great to see some more join us!

WAM Youth Music Council Opportunity

WAM, the peak industry body responsible for supporting, nurturing and growing all forms, genres and levels of original contemporary music in WA, is looking for students aged 15 - 18 to be part of a Youth Music Council. (Students can claim Community Service hours). 

The Council will meet several times a year with a view to discussing ideas and development in the all ages music scene in Perth.

Viva 7s Touch Rugby - Allen Park  

A Viva Touch 7s Centre is coming to Allen Park this Spring and Summer. Viva Touch 7s is a form of Touch Rugby more akin to Union than League, and is a great way to keep the fitness up in a fun and social format. When does the season run?

When does the season run?
It'll be run each Wednesday night from 13 Sept until the end of November. The first two weeks will be 'Come & Try' sessions, followed by a 10 week competition.

UWA Junior Softball Club

UWA Junior Softball Registration Day- Open to junior girls (17 years and under as of 30 June 2018).
UWA Baseball and Softball Club will hold its Registration Day on Sunday, 10 September from 10am-12pm at McGillivray oval (Brockway Rd, Mt Claremont).
Registration is for 13s, 15s and 17s. Some experience for 15s and 17s is desirable but not a must. 
Summer season runs from 14 October 2017 to 24 February 2018, with finals in March. There are already a number of St Hilda's girls in the club.

UWA Basketball Tournament

Basketball Tournament @ UWA Recreation centre’s indoor basketball courts
Sunday, 3 September 6pm-8pm.
Parents are also encouraged to come and support their children from the seated viewing area.
Registration is free. Players can either register as a team of five or as individuals.

Parenting Girls

Parenting Girls is a three-week online course designed to equip parents with tools and strategies to help handle the challenges and demands on girls growing up today. For more information, click here

URSTRONG: The Language of Friendship

Through interactive parent-tween activities, parents can learn strategies to help their child put out "friendship fires", how to put a voice to their feelings and the best ways to support him/her through unhealthy relationships. Held at Perth College, there are sessions between May and November. Click here for more information. 

Phillips Dojos

Breast Awareness and Injury Prevention

In collaboration with a team of physiotherapists and a strength and conditioning coach with a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health) and Masters in Exercise Science (Strength and Conditioning), PEGY has developed product knowledge, experience and fitting expertise and tailored a packaged of valuable information for teens and women in relation to breast awareness, injury prevention and sports bra fitting guidelines. PEGY offer information sessions and professional fitting services for teens and women to encourage and support them in their pursuits of sporting activities, general fitness, health and well-being in achieving active healthy lives.

Exercise Therapy

The Exercise Therapist runs two junior programs: Breathe Easy, for mindfulness, and Adolescent Strength and Conditioning. It is also running workshops for staff and students on the impact of mindfulness and exercise on anxiety and mental health for the youth. 

The FunPad

The FunPad is a brand new, clean and hygienic mobile soft play centre/jungle gym. Fitted out in a fully refurbished double decker bus, the FunPad’s equipment provides hours of fun for children aged 3-12 years.

Vogue Performers
