Angie drives a positive culture of challenge and support, enabling effective teaching that promotes enthusiastic, independent learners, committed to lifelong learning. Leading the Heads of Department, Angie’s key responsibility is for developing a culture of effective teaching, for leading, designing and managing the quality of teaching and learning and for students’ achievement in all aspects of their development. Working collaboratively with this team, Angie sets high expectations for the Senior School through careful collaborative planning, monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of learning. Angie’s student-focused approach is demonstrated by her innovative working relationship with the Heads of Year and School Psychologists, aimed at enhancing student capacity and agency within their academic program, to achieve their goals and aspirations. Providing bespoke academic opportunities is a passion that Angie strives to achieve for all students. She actively promotes the School’s vision and strategic plan through authentic initiatives and works with various stakeholders to ensure individual goals and intentions can be realised.
Angie holds a Masters in Educational Leadership, Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics) and a Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership from the University of Western Australia. With a wealth of experience in many educational circles and industry, Angie is well regarded for her exceptional digital literacy, governance in strategic policy design and commitment to positive change management that promotes a growth mindset to embrace 21st Century skills.
