About Rebecca Shellabear (2003)

A school psychologist by trade, with an unusual pathway through the public education sector (traversing Albany to Broome) including management and strategic roles, working with specialist behaviour teams, designing and implementing community programs and supporting teams to navigate systems change, as well as facilitating the learning and development of others.

Rebecca is also an experienced facilitator and public speaker presenting to national and international audiences on topics including the neurobiology of trauma, social and emotional wellbeing, positive psychology, social justice reform, and how to thrive while living and working in remote communities.

Rebecca is a passionate advocate for the prevention, treatment and cure of stroke, partnering with the Perron Institute and the UWA to create the first Chair of Stroke Medicine in WA through the Sarah Shellabear Stroke Fund with family. When not working you will find her planning her next physical feat for charity, reading a good book or adventuring with her children and dogs.
