Ryan Gowland

Ryan Gowland has been a dedicated educator for over 20 years, with extensive experience in leadership and teaching roles both in Australia and internationally. After serving as Deputy Head and Head of Wellbeing and Pastoral Care at an  all boys’ private school in Sydney for five years, he relocated to Western Australia with his young family. Ryan is now a valued member of the St Hilda’s community, serving as Head of Wellbeing and Operations in the Junior School.

An empathic leader, he empowers school and community stakeholders to work together to uphold and champion a school’s values, mission and aims. He believes successful schools are built through effective collaboration with school council, parents, networks and the wider community. With a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, he has an aptitude for gently optimising performance and motivating others to ensure students, staff and parents feel valued and enthused.
