Cut, shave, or colour, St Hilda’s record-breaking effort to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
In June, a record-breaking 79 students and one teacher participated in this year’s World’s Greatest Shave to support the fight against blood cancer. With the help of our loyal and supportive community, St Hilda’s raised $77, 000 which is an incredible accomplishment.
St Hilda’s rallies for change
Currently, 140,000 households are dealing with blood cancer, and sadly, sixteen Australians lose their lives to it every day. Every dollar raised from the World’s Greatest Shave goes towards giving families the emotional and practical support they need to deal with the numerous difficulties that blood cancer presents and fuels Australia’s research towards the target of 0 blood cancer-related deaths by 2035.
At St Hildas, we believe that rallying together for important events enhances the effect our School can make and fosters the development of deep, meaningful relationships in our School community. The outpouring of encouragement and gratitude through comments, support and donations during the event run-up was terrific.
Coming together for change
Thank you for helping us make an impact by spreading awareness about Leukaemia and highlighting the importance of coming together as a community to support this vital cause as a School. We appreciate the support of our students, staff, parents, Old Scholars, friends and family for this year’s World’s Greatest Shave.
