St Hilda’s ESSTEAM (Entrepreneurship Sustainability through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is a pioneering program that will engage our girls in new ways of thinking and learning.
ESSTEAM will provide our girls with the opportunity to turn concepts into concrete solutions and ideas into actions. As educators, we know that experiences help fuel our girls drive to become lifelong learners and innovators. The deepest learning happens when their passions meet an opportunity for action. From 2023, ESSTEAM will be part of every girls’ curriculum from Years 5 to 10.

We were delighted to welcome four wonderful speakers to a panel discussion this morning; Grant Dusting, Peter Klinken, Brad Birt and Olivia Humphrey. It opened up some insightful conversations, particularly around the importance of entrepreneurial thinking, and how innovative and adaptive ways of teaching will be essential as Generation Alpha enter the workforce in the future.
