Year 9 Students organised Team Colours day towards the end of Term 1 in support of our new partnership with Shooting Stars. Shooting Stars is an educational program that uses sport and other tools to encourage greater school engagement amongst young Aboriginal girls and women in regional and remote communities. The program also encourages the girls to make informed choices about their education and employment journey, helping them strive for the stars.
Our Year 9s hosted a sausage sizzle, drinks, cup cake decorating, Netball shooting competition and guess the number of lollies. We were also fortunate to be blessed with great music from our Rock Band. It was a beautiful day celebrating in the Spirit of St Hilda’s. The girls raised over $1800 which is fantastic! Thank you to the Year 9s for all your hard work in preparation for this wonderful day.
