Year 11: Academic Growth, Personal Development, and Leadership Opportunities<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

Year 11 marks a pivotal year as students begin their chosen WACE pathway, with a strong academic focus and an emphasis on personal growth. The Year 11 program is designed to support students in achieving both academic and personal success while preparing them to take on leadership roles within the school community. Pastoral care<\/a> sessions address the transition from Year 10, helping students navigate the changes they face academically and socially. Building on the foundations laid in the Wandering Spirit program, Year 11 students are equipped with strategies for effective learning, goal setting, and emotional and physical wellbeing.<\/p>\r\n

The academic year includes important milestones such as examinations in Term 2 and Term 4, alongside continuous reporting<\/a> through SEQTA Engage and SEQTA Learn. This provides timely feedback for students and parents, ensuring that any necessary adjustments can be made. Course reports are issued at the end of each semester to monitor progress.<\/p>\r\n

Our Year 11s will have access to a cocurricular leadership program, powered by Future Female Leaders WA. This program will bring together education and industry to equip young women with the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive as future leaders. Students also have access to MoneyVest, a micro-credentialled financial literacy program to all students in Senior School, ensuring they are prepared for life beyond graduation.<\/p>\r\n

In addition to academic development, Year 11 students participate in a range of special events designed to enhance their school experience, including the Year 11 Dance, a ski trip, and the election of Year 12 leadership positions for the following year. The year concludes with a reflection day, allowing students to assess their growth. Year 12 is a memorable and transformative year, filled with special events and opportunities for leadership. Senior students take on key positions of responsibility, which are vital to the leadership of the student body. To signify their leadership role, Year 12 students wear a special Year 12 tie and leavers\u2019 jumper.<\/a><\/p>\r\n

The academic program is rigorous and includes examinations in Term 2, followed by final school-based exams at the end of Term 3. The year starts with a focus on tracking student progress<\/a>, supported by a Progress Report in Term 1, which is complemented by a Parent\/Teacher evening. Continuous reporting via SEQTA Engage and SEQTA Learn ensures that students receive timely feedback to enhance their learning.
