We proudly celebrated International Women’s Day in support of Dress for Success Western Australia, affirming its commitment to empowering women and fostering inclusivity within the community. The event showcased our dedication to the United Nations International Women’s Day 2024 theme: “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.”<\/p>\n

Rachael Hain, co-founder and Board Member of Dress for Success Western Australia and a St Hilda’s parent, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the collaboration, emphasising the transformative impact of empowering women in the pursuit of economic independence. “At Dress for Success Western Australia, we believe in the transformative power of providing women with the resources and support they need to overcome the barriers to employment. This collaboration with St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls allows us to further our mission and make a meaningful difference in the lives of women in our community,” remarked Hain.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth Hain, daughter of Rachael Hain, delivered a compelling speech at the Senior School assembly earlier this term, encouraging St Hilda\u2019s families to donate appropriate attire in support of International Women’s Day. This call to action resonated with our St Hilda’s community, resulting in a remarkable donation of over 100 kilograms of clothing and accessories. Additionally, in line with the spirit of International Women’s Day, all students at St Hilda’s received a cupcake as a token of appreciation and solidarity, symbolising our dedication to honouring and uplifting women’s voices and achievements.<\/p>\n

Dress for Success Western Australia, as part of a global movement, offers work attire, one-to-one job readiness support including resume preparation, access to career development workshops, and a supportive network to empower women on their journey towards self-sufficiency through gainful employment.
