St Hilda\u2019s wins the Alumni Campaign award at EducatePlus<\/b><\/p>\n

We are thrilled to announce that we have won the Alumni or Community Engagement Campaign award at the Educate Plus Australasia Conference<\/a> for our outstanding work on the Heritage Centre!<\/span><\/p>\n

Through generous donations and our school archives dating back to 1896, St Hilda\u2019s has curated a phenomenal heritage collection. This collection is now proudly housed in our beautiful Heritage Centre, where it will be stored, preserved, and cherished by our community for generations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Kellie Hasluck, our Director of School Development, Mrs Sandra Naude, the Guardian of St Hilda\u2019s Legacy (both pictured accepting the award), and Pam Casellas for bringing this vision to life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kellie Hasluck, Director of School Development and Philanthropy, proudly shared, \u201cIt\u2019s<\/span> been an utter privilege working with my colleague, Sandra Naude, aka Guardian of the St Hilda\u2019s Legacy. Her commitment to our history is legendary. And to all the team involved at St Hilda\u2019s, this is for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

This project has brought me such joy. Seeing the range of emotions when past staff and students engage with our exhibits has been worth the hours invested in this project.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Preserving the legacy of St Hilda\u2019s<\/b><\/p>\n

The St Hilda’s Heritage Centre, established in August 2023 due to the community’s generosity, is a testament to the school’s rich history. Beyond just dates, history is about the collective memories and experiences that shape a lasting legacy. St Hilda’s has meticulously safeguarded over 125 years of photographs, records, and memorabilia, offering a glimpse into the educational practices and daily life of a bygone era.<\/span><\/p>\n

The transformation of the original farmhouse into the Heritage Centre was made possible by the School Foundation, the Parents’ and Friends’ Association, the Old Scholars Association, and over 50 benefactors.<\/span><\/p>\n
