It provides benchmarks of excellence in Dance, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drama, and Music for students from the Public, Independent, and Catholic education sectors\/systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Victoria was chosen for her monologue, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an excerpt from a play by British playwright April De Angelis called The Positive Hour. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The piece explores the story of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social worker Miranda navigating specific issues in her clients\u2019 lives. Paula, Miranda\u2019s patient, delivers the monologue. So much time and work go into every piece, so seeing that all come together and knowing the work behind it is incredible.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I could not be here without my drama teachers; I seriously owe it all to them. The drama department was like my second home at school, and our ATAR drama teacher, Lisa Andrews, is one of the kindest and most dedicated people I have met. She has a world of knowledge and always goes above and beyond to ensure we are all as best prepared as possible; I really couldn\u2019t have asked for a better drama teacher.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to Mrs Sharon Kiely, my love for drama and performing was developed beyond the classroom during opportunities, including their incredible arts fest and school musicals. Looking back, these were the highlights of my time at St Hilda\u2019s and will probably be what I miss the most. As we grew up, we built a lovely relationship with Mrs Kiely, which made these events much more enjoyable.
