Many parents know this firsthand, watching young adults navigate budgets, savings, taxes, and part-time jobs as they begin university or move out of home.<\/p>\n<p>From 2026, St Hilda\u2019s is proud to introduce <strong>MoneyVest<\/strong>, a micro-credentialled financial literacy program for all girls in Years 7\u201312. This initiative reflects our belief that financial literacy is not an optional extra; it\u2019s an essential part of preparing young women for life.<\/p>\n<h2>Why Financial Literacy Matters<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>More than 1 in 3 young women<\/strong> feel unprepared to manage their finances when they leave school (Plan International Australia, 2020).<\/li>\n<li>Only <strong>30% of young women aged 15\u201335<\/strong> consider themselves financially literate, compared to 45% of young men (OECD, 2023).<\/li>\n<li>In Australia, young women consistently score lower than young men in practical financial areas like tax, superannuation, and investment (ASIC, 2022).<\/li>\n<li>Gen Z women are expected to have <strong>six different careers<\/strong> across their lifetime, requiring adaptability, entrepreneurial thinking, and financial resilience (World Economic Forum, 2024).<\/li>\n<li>Despite comprising more than half of university graduates, only <strong>14% of ASX200 CEOs are women<\/strong>, with financial acumen cited as a key barrier to leadership (Chief Executive Women, 2023).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>At St Hilda\u2019s, we believe in turning these statistics around by intentionally equipping every girl with the tools to take charge of her financial future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>What is MoneyVest Education?<\/h2>\n<p>\"(\u300a\u4e16\u754c\u4eba\u6743\u5ba3\u8a00\u300b) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneyvest.com.au\/pages\/home\">MoneyVest Financial Education<\/a> <\/strong>content is practical, relevant, and engaging, covering topics such as budgeting, superannuation, MyGov, tax returns, investment simulations, pay rates, and ethical finance.
