Excitement, pride, anxiety and even sadness are feelings parents can understandably experience as their little one ventures into school for the first time. At St Hilda\u2019s, we understand this can be a particularly emotional time, and our community is here to provide support.<\/p>\n<p>During the first few weeks of your child starting school, you, as a parent, may have many questions, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is their daily routine?<\/li>\n<li>Is my child making friends?<\/li>\n<li>What is their teacher like?<\/li>\n<li>Will my child be ok without me?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To cut through these questions and provide a touch of reassurance, this year, as our youngest students began their school journey, our Junior Kindy staff had a special gift for parents. Tissues and a beautiful handmade heart were given out on the first day of school, along with a touching message, to reassure parents that their child would be safe and cared for as they entered school, and to validate their own feelings.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhilst we spend the day with your child today, know that we will be thinking of you too.<\/p>\n<p>These tissues are to dry your tears; your little one is all grown up.<\/p>\n<p>The heart is to remind you of the love of your child; no matter where he\/she is.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy a cuppa and know that we will nurture your child as our own, ensuring he\/she will grow and learn in a supportive environment.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for entrusting us on your child\u2019s journey.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21133\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sthildas.wa.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/JK-Parent-Gift-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Gift for parents of Junior Kindy students starting school\" width=\"604\" height=\"453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sthildas.wa.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/JK-Parent-Gift-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sthildas.wa.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/JK-Parent-Gift-16x12.jpg 16w, https:\/\/www.sthildas.wa.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/JK-Parent-Gift.jpg 512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u6211\u4eec\u7684 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sthildas.wa.edu.au\/zh\/%e5%88%9d%e7%ba%a7%e5%b0%8f%e5%ad%a6\/\">\u521d\u4e2d\u90e8<\/a> community is a nurturing environment where our teachers deeply care for their students and their parents.
