A message from the Year 2 and 5 students on their Belonging Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“In Year 2 Art we started to do a drawing about Belonging and the people we felt connected to. Ms Richards was looking for a song to inspire us for our silhouette images based on the works of famous photographer Martine Perret! In Music, we learnt a song by renowned Australian composer, Paul Jarman called Dreaming in the Sky.<\/em><\/p>\n

We met Paul on Teams and he told us he was inspired to write this song by researching Indigenous Australian connection to the constellations.<\/em><\/p>\n

In Year 5 Art, we learnt all about the Indigenous astronomy, Aboriginal night stories and Ngoongar creation links to the night sky. Paul Jarman\u2019s song resonated with what we were doing and we started to learn the harmony part in Choir. Then, Paul gave our school his Music and his Poetry and the idea to make a book was born \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

Wouldn\u2019t it be wonderful to publish our book someday?\u00a0We could then sell the book and the proceeds could go to helping our communities!<\/em><\/p>\n
