Needs-Based Bursary Application
Needs-based Bursary
The needs-based bursary is designed to give young girls the best opportunity to reach their full potential. The bursary covers tuition fees for a student entering Year 7 at St Hilda’s in 2028. It is intended for students who demonstrate academic potential but face financial hardship. We believe that with the right support, these students can achieve their personal goals and discover new pathways in their lives.
Applications are open to external students who are Australian citizens, who will be entering Year 7 in 2028 and, in the opinion of the Principal:
- Would not, for financial reasons, otherwise be able to attend the school;
- Displays academic and leadership potential
- Is actively involved in their community through cocurricular activities or other endeavours and is keen to contribute to the life of St Hilda’s.
Please note: Should an applicant be shortlisted, the family will be required to provide full financials to the School (which will be kept in strict confidence) in order to qualify.
The bursary includes tuition fees associated with an education at St Hilda’s for a day pupil for Years 7 -12.
Applicants are required to provide the following:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Past two school reports
- Year 5 NAPLAN report
- A curriculum vitae outlining their achievements outside the classroom
- Handwritten cover letter
