Yeagarup Outdoor Campus

St Hilda’s Outdoor Education site used for immersive learning experiences beyond the classroom at a leading junior school.

A Place to Explore, Grow and Belong

Just minutes from Pemberton on 7.4 hectares of pristine bushland, St Hilda’s Outdoor Campus at Yeagarup offers something truly extraordinary: a place where students can disconnect from the noise, reconnect with themselves, and build bonds that last a lifetime.

Purchased by the School in 2019, Yeagarup is a unique asset, making us one of the only girls’ schools in Western Australia with a dedicated regional property for whole cohort experiences. It reflects our commitment to a holistic, values-driven education where wellbeing, independence and personal growth are nurtured alongside academic learning.

Our Year 5, 6 and 7 Outdoor Education experiences are held at Yeagarup, along with our transformative Year 9 Wandering Spirit retreat. These programs immerse students in nature and challenge them to grow as individuals and as part of a community.

Surrounded by some of the south west’s most iconic natural landmarks, including Cascade Falls, Big Brook Dam, the Yeagarup Dunes and the Gloucester Tree, the campus is a gateway to immersive outdoor experiences such as hiking, canoeing, shelter building and campfire storytelling. These opportunities help foster confidence, courage and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.

Yeagarup also serves as a creative and cultural haven, regularly hosting music tours, art retreats and wellbeing camps. With a mix of dormitories, cottages and campgrounds, it provides flexible accommodation that supports a wide range of learning and enrichment opportunities.

More than just a regional base, Yeagarup is a place where girls are encouraged to explore the world around them and the person they’re becoming. Here, they grow in independence, deepen their sense of belonging, and carry forward the spirit of St Hilda’s, wherever life may lead.

Year 9 Wandering Spirit

Wandering Spirit is a compulsory year-long Year 9 program that provides opportunities for students to learn more about who they are, how they connect with the people and natural world around them, and who they would like to be, moving forward into their adult life.

It is a program that celebrates belonging, authenticity, excellence and imagination, providing opportunities to thrive, shine, evolve, connect and initiate.
