St Hilda’s Students Leading the Way
At St Hilda’s, we’re dedicated to empowering young women to become leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, where women have historically been underrepresented.
This Term, our students proudly demonstrated their skills, creativity, and critical thinking at the Da Vinci Decathlon. This nationally recognised academic competition challenges students across 10 diverse disciplines, including engineering, mathematics, code-breaking, science, and more.
A Celebration of Innovation, Teamwork, and Academic Excellence
Hosted by St Hilda’s, the Decathlon brought together over 70 schools for three unforgettable days of intellectual challenge and collaboration. The event was a testament to the brainpower, innovation, and teamwork that our Year 5–10 students displayed in abundance.
We are thrilled to announce that our Year 8 team placed 1st and will travel to Sydney to compete at the national level. They’ll be joined by our Year 7 team, who also delivered an exceptional performance and impressed judges throughout the competition.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Female STEM Leaders
From achieving top results in prestigious competitions like the Da Vinci Decathlon to exploring cutting-edge science projects in the classroom, St Hilda’s students continue to break barriers and redefine what’s possible in STEM.
