Coral Bay Adventure: Outdoor Education at Its Best

During the recent school holidays, St Hilda’s Year 8 and Year 9 students took part in an unforgettable outdoor education experience in Coral Bay.

The much-anticipated trip, run by Ningaloo Reef Adventure Camp, gave students a hands-on marine adventure. They developed snorkelling skills, explored the reef’s unique ecology, and interacted with amazing marine life.

Students swam alongside whale sharks, turtles, and manta rays, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A Core Part of St Hilda’s Curriculum

Outdoor Education is a key element of life at St Hilda’s. From Year 2 to Year 10, students engage in activities that promote:

  • Personal growth

  • Wellbeing

  • Leadership

  • Resilience

  • Environmental awareness

Optional Pursuits and School Holiday Expeditions

Alongside the core curriculum, our Optional Pursuits Program allows students to follow their passion for the outdoors. These experiences include special activities like school holiday expeditions.

The Coral Bay trip is just one of many enriching opportunities designed to help students learn beyond the classroom and build a deeper connection with the natural world.
